The parent of this WikiProject is WikiProject Cities / WikiProject U.S. cities. At the US state level, the parent of this project is WikiProject Texas.

Goals

• To provide guidelines and recommendations for articles that describe all aspects of the city of Austin and the surrounding metropolitan area.
• To improve Wikipedia's coverage of Austin by creating, expanding, and maintaining such articles and related portal.
• To serve as the central point of discussion for issues related to Austin in Wikipedia.
• Establish Wikipedia as one of the premier online information resources on the Greater Austin metropolitan area.
