The Academia Militar de Venezuela ("Venezuelan Academy of Military Sciences"), founded in 1810, is the oldest military academy in Latin America. It is located in Caracas, Venezuela and provides a four year program of training for officer cadets. Notable graduates include current Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez.
