Vale Royal is a local government district and borough in Cheshire, England. It contains the towns of Northwich, Winsford and Frodsham. It takes its name from Vale Royal Abbey, formerly one of the largest in England, which was situated near the village of Whitegate. Although the abbey no longer exists, the current house on the site contains important fragments of the abbey buildings and is still known as Vale Royal. It is now a golf club and apartments.
