Vacationing in Palm Springs is a split 7" from Californian ska punk band Reel Big Fish and Oregon ska /swing band Cherry Poppin' Daddies . It was released in 1997 on Mojo Records .
Side A features the Cherry Poppin' Daddies songs "Hi & Lo" and "2:29", both ska punk B-sides recorded around the time of their compilation album Zoot Suit Riot: The Swingin' Hits of the Cherry Poppin' Daddies . "2:29" later appeared as a B-side to the UK single of "Zoot Suit Riot" and "Hi & Lo" was later re-recorded for the band's 2008 album Susquehanna .
Side B features Reel Big Fish's cover of Rodgers & Hammerstein's "There Is Nothing Like a Dame " from the musical South Pacific . It was originally recorded for the soundtrack to the Australian movie Welcome to Woop Woop . The song later appeared on band's compilation CD Viva La Internet/Blank CD .
