rfa thanks

Sweet userpage dude. mind if I lift some of the stuff? also, thanks for participating in my recent RFA. i've left you some templated thank spam below. while it may not be as tasty as the pizza you're displaying on your main page, I think you'll find it contains many essential vitamins and nutrients. also, feel free to comment on my in-depth RFA analysis. cheers, xenocidic (talk) 00:05, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

UBF, thanks

Thank you for taking a look at the University Bible Fellowship article. Can this article be locked from all conflict-of-interest editors (I'm willing to include myself)? It would be helpful if a third party editor could finalize and lock the content. Bkarcher (talk) 17:10, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

  • There is no real reason for WP:RPP or WP:BLOCK yet... So I'll do some cleanup edit and if they stick then we're good to go - otherwise if the warring continues around my edits, then we may need to escellate. :) Tiggerjay (talk) 17:17, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
    • Thank you again. I took a look at your edits and they seem fair to me. I agree also with your comment about working on adding verifiable sources. I'm new to Wikipedia and would rather have started with a simpler article to learn the WP edit methods. Bkarcher (talk) 18:01, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Do you have suggestions for handling the controversy section? I made a proposal on the talk page. Bkarcher (talk) 01:56, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Re: Orson Welles

That does concern me. The user is removing a lot of information and inserting unsourced material. Probably the best thing to do might be to restore the material they deleted and add in any information that is new from this user and tag it with {{fact}} tags. That way, someone who's more of an expert than me on Welles will get a chance to judge if this user's contributions are valid. Cheers! Redfarmer (talk) 18:31, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

I was looking at the last edit and determined (after a cursory look) that it was a removal of the awards section. I used TW to do an auto revert but then it rolled back 42 edits rather than just one. After closer investigation I noticed that you were already following up on this so I reverted everything back to the latest of the 42 edits. I don't have the time to determine what's good and what isn't. Good luck. Atrian (talk) 21:13, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Skater girl

Darn, they've discovered the secret I'd tried so hard to keep! But I see I'm not alone. :D Thanks for spotting this and reverting it! In answer, who knows; Peter Pan didn't so if they're going by that precedent, we'll be waiting a long while... ;) Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 19:49, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

RE: My Help Desk Request

I would say thanks for notifying me about this, but one small problem: I cannot recall ever making an inquiry at the help desk. So I'm quite baffled at the moment eh? -- Reaper X 03:45, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Ah right. Thanks for clarifying. Cheers. -- Reaper X 19:37, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Xplor International

First let me thank you for you help in cleaning up the Xplor International article. Its great that folks like you take the time to help, rather than just tagging and leaving it for us newbies to figure out what we did wrong.

I have added a citation that provides an example of Xplor's mission and focus. Does this meet the 'needs citation' requirement? It's quite difficult to find a 3rd party article that introduces a 27 year old organization well known to most people in the field of technology.

I also put back the reference to the Electronic Document Professional program as this represents one of Xplor's longest and most visible contributions to the industry. (We have created a stub that goes into more detail on the program). Should I created a seperate H2 called "Activites" and list it there?

Again, thanks for your help.

I would like to put the regional websites in the 'external links' section. These are seperate web-sites maintained by voluteers in the different regions (and contain information unique to that region)

Is this okay?

WP:HAU, Status, and you!

As you may know, the StatusBot responsible for maintaining the status of the Highly Active Users was taken offline. We now have a replacement in the Qui status system. This semi-automatic system will allow you to easily update your status page found at Special:Mypage/Status which the HAU page code is now designed to read from. If you are already using Qui (or a compatible) system - great! - no action is needed (other than remembering to update your status as necessary). If not, consider installing Qui. You can also manually update this status by changing the page text to online, offline, or busy. While it is not mandatory, the nature of HAU is that people are often seeking a quick answer from someone who is online and keeping our statuses up-to-date will assist with this. Note if you were previously using your /Status page as something other than a one-word status indicator, your HAU entry may have been set to "status=n" to correct display issues. Please clear this parameter if you change things to be "HAU compatible". Further questions can be raised at WT:HAU. This message was delivered by xenobot 22:42, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Cashmere

I was wondering why it was that you reverted to that particular version of the Cashmere article. The MOS on order of entries for dab pages doesn't place a link to the Kashmir article at the top, for one thing, as it is not the same spelling. Also, I see no need to get rid of the categories. If it is the wording that bothered you, could you please suggest an alternate wording on the talk page? Thanks, Loggie (talk) 15:27, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

UBF COI/NPOV

  • Tiggerjay: Would you take a look at the current state of the University Bible Fellowship article and see if you have any further comments or edits? I added a "Reviews and reactions" section that hopefully meets Wiki NPOV guidelines. What else should be done to resolve the COI dispute? Thank you! Bkarcher (talk) 19:03, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
