My native language is English - other languages include RPG II, Pascal, and Perl. I like Spanish food, people and the country, but not the idea of my homeland being annexed by Spain, or anyone.
English usage tips
Based on the common usage of these words in Gibraltar rather than by international journalists or writers on the Internet.
Gibraltar - can be both an noun and an adjective.
eg: The Gibraltar Government -or- the Government of Gibraltar.
Gibraltarian - refers specifically to the people of Gibraltar
eg: My auntie is Welsh and her husband is Gibraltarian.
Gibraltan - is incorrect and never used in Gibraltar.
Gibraltar is NOT and island, despite what the BBC often says, it is not part of Spain or Andalucia, nor should it be referred to as a colony.
