Antoshi is the main alias for a user whose real name is known simply as "Anthony." Antoshi is also a fictional character that resides in the world of Pokémon with his brother Latoshi and sister Mitoshi. The idea of having a character with the same name as the person's username is usually confusing, however the creator acknowledges this but stands by his decision.
Antoshi, the usernameAs a user, Antoshi has been involved in many different groups, such as Forums, Guilds, Clans, social groups, as well as private ones. The beginning of Antoshi as a user began February 20, 2002. The name 'Antoshi' has been an enigma to many users, wondering how the name was created (some making jokes about it). The name 'Antoshi' was bestowed upon him by a friend who was making a small social group, blending the beginning of real person's first names with the end of (Japanese) Pokémon character's first names. In this instance, the name "Anthony", was taken as "Ant", and the character "Satoshi", was taken as "oshi", therby making "Antoshi." For a very long while, the name was not used as a main nickname, just a simple aside, and rarely ever used. At the time, the creator was Role-playing on AOL chatrooms as the character Satoshi (which was why Satoshi was also taken as the name mix). However, it wasn't until the creator joined a Pokémon Guild known as NPC that Antoshi became an actual character. NPC, or Nonpariel Pokémon Confederation was the longest-standing and most well-known Pokémon Guild on AOL. Until its demise on September 12, 2004 he was a recurring member (although kicked out once between for disorderly behavior). After which time, the creator stayed on AOL before focusing his attention to IRC, to chat with friends and create scripts in his spare time. He also occasionally writes Fanfiction (mainly about character Antoshi), and plays the online games MapleStory, Team Fortress 2 and Gunz. Antoshi, the characterAt the very early beginning, Antoshi was the embodiment of the character owner's persona at the time. A rather hormone-driven fifteen year-old, a wannabe player, and womanizer. After only one Role-Playing session of the character in this form, it was quickly dropped for being distasteful, and the character was re-created upon entering NPC on August 25, 2003. In-between those two points, however, Antoshi was portrayed as a young, carefree trainer whose main interest was catching Pokémon. His original team consisted of Pokémon caught in the creator's actual Pokémon game. Later, he would catch an Umbreon (role-played by another person). His trademark look, aside from his clothes, were constantly having a backpack (similar to Ash) and listening to a CD player. The idea was spurred after the owner had a mixed CD and would listen to it often. Antoshi's music was supposedly identical to that on the CD. At the beginning of his run in NPC, Antoshi would take the form of its present-day personality, to an extent. A happy-go-lucky, charming, and in some ways dopey, young thirteen year-old boy with reckless disregard for his own safety, and merely trying to find as many ways as possible to have fun and enjoy life. The NPC battles, which were dice-oriented, showed off Antoshi as a brave young man who went to all ends to perform tricky, acrobatic feats in his attacks, such as climbing to the top of a tall tree, and jumping down onto a enemy's head. He also had an array of weapons that would change when the number of dice rolled for a single attack was upgraded, starting from two, then three, then four. The original weapon at two dice was called the "Spork of Doom!!" (double-exclamation points included). It was his favorite, and decided to use it as a recurring weapon on the battlefield. When the dice were eventually raised to three via leveling-up, the spork "broke", leaving Antoshi to find a new weapon. He obtained a frying pan, which he named the "Frying Pan of Doom!!". Once the dice were raised for the last time, the pan "rusted", however Antoshi never got around to using his final weapon, which was planned to be the "Mallet of Doom!!", since he obtained another item called the "Shard Lance" from the Guild's "shop.". The lance was an Ice-grade weapon, that was "6'4'' from the butt of the shaft to the tip off the blade." It also "cause[d] the victim an internal icy chill upon striking." This weapon would be a semi-recurring item in later storylines (see below) before its own destruction. In-between getting kicked out of NPC for unacceptable behavior and re-entering it, Antoshi was placed in a new Guild created by the creator's friend. PFW, or Pokémon Faith Within, was a small group of dedicated Role-Players, but their numbers were a far-cry from NPC's member count. Here, Antoshi held several jobs. Mass-Spar Log Grader, Newsletter Publisher, Website Owner, and Second-in-Command, under the two co-owners (of course all of these tasks were really carried out by the owner). The members enjoyed the new Guild for a while, but its luster started to slowly fade. It eventually fell apart a few months before NPC closed its own doors. Just before that, however, Antoshi was re-accepted into NPC, staying with the Guild this time until its end. Aside from being in Guilds, Antoshi is the star character in his own fanfictions, where he shares a small home with his two siblings. Their backgrounds slowly reveal through flashbacks and other tidbits of information that enriched their personalities and let readers understand just who Antoshi and the people and Pokémon around him were. "Catoshi"Beginning in mid-2006, following a revival of the "The Adventures of uh... #Council" (formerly "The Adventures of Chrono and Miss-Ecko"), Antoshi was active in the IRC channel at the time, and found himself inserted into the character list after requesting it. Antoshi (the user), showing an interest in catgirls through a couple dozen avatars on the Sleepywood Forums at the time, had his Antoshi character reincarnated as a "catboy". The introduction strip portrayed him being interested, not just in catgirls, but actual house cats. Throughout the life of the revived comic, and long beyond its eventual demise, Antoshi the user would be referred by others who knew of the comic, and those who heard of it through word of mouth as "Cat man", "Cat boy", and "Catoshi." "Antoshio"Following a remark by the user Antoshi, that he was "shedding [his] cat fur", Antoshi the character yet again reincarnated as "Antoshio" in a webcomic titled "Super Antoshio Bros." [1] [2], trading the fur, ears and tail for a plumber's outfit. His head is also shaped as it was originally designed by the user. In the comic, Mario (played by Antoshi), Luigi (played by Pandasu), Yoshi (played by kirby54321) and "Kirby" (played by KirbyM) set off in an adventure, themed as the original Super Mario Brothers NES game. The comic is completely a parody, having little seriousness and is filled with various mishaps, usually caused by Antoshi, which annoy his comrades to no end. At the same time, Bowser (played by Michael) has kidnapped the Princess (played by Kafro), and locked "her" away in his final castle. The Princess is protrayed as brimming with sarcasm, as well as having a short temper. The Princess could possibly take Bowser out and leave, but decides to stay for the sake of the comic. Others have expressed interest in the comic, with "minor" character spots consisting mainly of Bowser's henchmen being filled. Each character however, has its own customized look. Some examples include a Goomba with a top hat and monocle, a Spiny who is "black", and a Toad with a half-eaten shirt. The project has been on and off, but as of April 22, 2008, eleven comics have been made. Since then, the creator has posted it on several different forums and websites, where it's exposed to mixed reviews. A common complaint of negative reviewers is the drawing style. However, positive reviewers pointed out the drawing style as a strong point, leaving people completely split on their opinions. Character ProfilesAntoshi
The oldest, but not the wisest of the three siblings. As a baby, he was born just before his brother Latoshi, and both were given up into foster care by his mother's request. Soon after, Antoshi was adopted by a family that loved and nurtured the young boy. He was given a Cyndaquil as a pet whom he named Fireball, and the two have developed an unbreakable friendship wih each other. Once he was old enough, Antoshi set out to become a Pokémon Trainer with Fireball (who was now a Typhlosion) in the Johto League. His life was flipped upside-down when he met his younger brother, Latoshi, along the way. Antoshi was born with psychokinesis. He depends on his brain for most of his attacks, although most of the time he acts incredibly goofy and happy-go-lucky like he doesn't have a brain. However, he has a good heart, and won't hesitate to defend someone or something he cares about when they're threatened, using the full extent of his incredible powers to make sure the ones he care about are safe. That being said, his younger brother Latoshi poses a constant threat to his and everyone else's safety. Antoshi's powers can be used to both attack and heal individuals. After his first victorious battle with his younger brother, Antoshi healed Latoshi's wounds, and the younger sibling quickly escaped, swearing revenge on Antoshi. He is the constant target of many different attacks by Latoshi. Some attacks are carefully planned, and others are just brash, surprise attacks. Either way, Antoshi has the strength to beat, or at the very least subdue, his younger brother. However that doesn't stop Latoshi's endless quest of violence. Despite this, Antoshi remains cheerful and big-hearted, usually playing innocently, exploring new places via his ability to fly, or just acting silly whenever he can. He is also semi-romantically involved with a girl named Serenity McGrith, who also uses psychic power, although her powers are mostly healing and spiritual. Serenity's purpose in life is a difficult one. Like Antoshi, she also has an evil brother, Collin, who stops at nothing to take over the world. Serenity engages Collin in a battle to protect the planet much more often than she would like, and for the majority, Serenity is always victorious. Even still, Collin has managed to beat her in the past, and has even killed her once, but she was quickly revived due in part to a mysterious guardian spirit, which is likely the source of her powers. Serenity met Antoshi by accident one day, when Collin hunted him down, mistaking the signal of his psychic aura for his sister's. He attacked the boy, his powers far greater than Antoshi's and ended up nearly killing him before Serenity intervened and saved his life. After which time, the two developed a close friendship, and enjoy spending time with one another when Serenity does not have her hands full with Collin. Serenity was not much of a cheerful person before she met Antoshi, with the thought of her insatiable brother's evil ploys lurking just over her shoulder. But the time spent with Antoshi helps her to feel more relaxed, and the happy-go-lucky personality of her possible boyfriend is welcomed, and even mirrored by her at times for fun. With each passing "date" they share, their feelings for each other slowly deepen, and the relationship took a more romantic turn when Serenity's life was saved by Antoshi (with help from Mitoshi) following an attack by Collin, and is certainly convinced his feelings for her are solid. Although every time she attempts to make an affectionate pass at him, he usually panicks, and ruins the moment, thus throwing the evolution of their relationship into limbo. Still, Serenity practices infinite patience with the younger boy and is confident that he will one day accept her affections. Latoshi
The middle child, and the darkest and brashest of the three. Latoshi was born at the same time as Antoshi; his twin brother. Because of financial issues, they could not take care of their first two children, and were forced to give him as well as his brother away for adoption. As a young child, Latoshi was shorter than most of the other children at his school, and as such, he was bullied and picked on by the taller and stronger ones. Latoshi's adopted parents did the best they can with raising Latoshi. At first, he was a happy and carefree child, just like his brother. But the more he was picked on and outcasted at school, the more he began to feel badly about himself. As he grew, suppressing the pain within him, he began to act out in school, earning him detention and occasionally suspensions for his actions, which simply brought the problem back home. Latoshi's parents tried to discipline him, but had trouble controlling the boy. In a fit of foolish rage, Latoshi's father accidentally told him that he was adopted. The realization crushed the young boy, and he began to cry. Before his parents could console him, he shut himself in his room and wouldn't come out, eventually crying himself to sleep. Later in the night, he awoke in a cold sweat. As he wiped the dried tears from his face, he realized his room was ice cold. A strange, body-less specter appeared to Latoshi by his bedside. The spirit introduced himself as "Lazarus," and explained that he'd been watching the boy for some time, realizing the dark forces that lie within his young heart, and how he could harness that power for his own plans. He coaxed the boy into releasing all of the suppressed anger and sadness within his heart. The spirit managed to talk him into killing his adopted parents, claiming that they did not love him anymore. All of Latoshi's pain began to swell with the spirit's comments. He confronted his confused parents in their room. With his anger and torment fueling his emotions, he suddenly expelled a large amount of dark energy that resulted in destroyed the small town he lived in. In the aftermath, he was the only person that survived, falling unconscious shortly after the ordeal. Police brought in the Military to investigate. Military scientists came to explore the cause of the town's mysterious destruction, where they found Latoshi, somehow unscathed and unconcious in the mess. They took him away to their lab on Cinnabar Island where they began to study him. Through all their research, they finally came up with a conclusion, and explained it to their peers. They claimed that the boy had what was called "Dark Syndrome", where the host of the "disease" has the potential of using the powers of darkness at his or her will. This wasn't the truth, as Latoshi discovered on his own that he was born with powers to manipulate dark forces at his will and had no such "syndrome." Latoshi eventually escaped from the scientists' clutches, but not before killing them all and left to explore his powers. For a while, Latoshi found delight in causing small-spread destruction across various cities, towns, forests; anything with a living population. The mystery of death was one that intrigued him, and killing satisfied his curiosity. Between the time of this uncontrollable behavior and eventually meeting his older brother, he met a young neko by the name of Blueberry. The two shared a brief, curious relationship. She was intrigued by his destruction, and found it exhilirating to watch him kill and destroy things. However, before they could share a true relationship an accidental blast of his own dark energy struck and killed Blueberry. Her death shook him more than the death of his own parents. It was then that he took time to reflect upon death, and what it meant to him. He also reflected upon his feelings for her, and soon Latoshi became a docile hermit living on his own in the wilderness before meeting his brother Antoshi for the first time. At first, the two were happy to meet each other, Latoshi felt as though he found another person who understood him, just like Blueberry, in his brother. However, Latoshi did not connect with his brother. Antoshi was much too upbeat for him. He felt jealous of his brother's happiness, and how he could not feel the same way after the years of torment he endured. Through his jealousy, he labeled his brother a "zealous braggart", and his suppressed feelings of hatred soon re-emerged. The two engaged in an intense fight using their respective powers, as well as their respective Pokémon, which left part of Goldenrod City completely destroyed. In the end, Latoshi was defeated by his brother, and swore revenge on him after Antoshi let him escape. He stopped at nothing to someday become stronger and eventually kill his brother, and constantly embarked in constant, rigorous training to heighten his mental and physical strength. Later on, as the siblings came together to form their own family, Latoshi's personality has become more placid. He trains, but merely for bettering himself. He realizes that, even though he may try for the rest of his life, he could probably never become strong enough to beat his brother. The two brothers even formed a team to stop greater evil. He has become more mature and no longer out of control as when he met Blueberry. He began focusing on fighting his own inner demons, as well as Lazarus, who still attempts to control the boy's will, and harness his intense strength. No matter what the disturbance in his life, Latoshi's struggle of pain may be eternal. Mitoshi
The younger sister of both brothers. Unlike her brothers, Mitoshi was raised by her biological parents after their financial situation became more suitable for raising a child, which meant all three children grew up as only children. As a young girl, she discovered her ability to manipulate the water element as she commanded. As a young girl, Mitoshi was quite adventurous. Whenever she found an opportunity to explore, she took it, resulting in many scares for her parents, though they never disciplined her as they felt her adventurous spirit was a blessing. One night, while exploring, Mitoshi heard the call of a young female Lapras who was washed up on the shore of a lake. The Lapras revealed her ability to communicate with humans, and explained to Mitoshi that her parents had left her to live on her own. Mitoshi took the Lapras in as a pet, and named her "Bubbles." But as Bubbles rapidly grew, it became hard for her to stay in the house with Mitoshi. Once their spirits bonded, Mitoshi was able to imbue Bubbles with some of her water manipulation, which gave Bubbles the ability to change her form into liquid where she was able to travel through permeable surfaces like soil and the wood floor of Mitoshi's house before re-solidifying her form back to normal. This allowed her to live indoors and out without having to pass through the narrow walkways in the house. When Mitoshi turned eleven, her parents decided to explain to her how she had two other siblings whom she never knew. This turned out to be a awkward decision, as Mitoshi became obsessed with wondering who her siblings were, where they lived, and what they were doing. After her parents went to sleep, she ran away from home one night, quickly taking off on her own to set out to find her siblings and reunite herself with them. Mitoshi's mode of travel was water, using her powers to dart through the water at an incredible speed and thereby cover more areas quicker. She would swim from place to place, trusting in her own instincts to guide her toward her brothers. Eventually, she detected the presence of her siblings' power during their second fight. Mitoshi made her appearance before them, shocking them both, and quickly brought their fight to an end, but not their war. After which, Latoshi escaped and Antoshi stayed with his sister to build a home for her. For a short time, Latoshi was interested in his sister's ability to command water, and promised that he would use her as a pawn in his quest to defeat his brother. He succeeded in doing this, and a two-on-one fight ensued. Latoshi and a brainwashed Mitoshi fought Antoshi in a battle that was cut short when their powers were simultaneously stripped by an energy-stealing creature named Aminal who used the powers of many special-powered individuals to grow to a massive size and caused rampant destruction to Goldenrod City. The trio eventually banded together to defeat the monster, and after which time, decided they would live together in the house after Fireball explained to Antoshi that he wished to travel on his own, thus ending Antoshi's quest for badges and solidifying his new life with his two siblings. The beginning of their life together had an extremely rocky start with the two brothers fighting almost constantly. Each time, Mitoshi would intervene and either talk them out of fighting, or use her own powers to physically stop them from battling. Latoshi was gone most of the time, as he felt dejected by his siblings after a fight, but would always return home, whether sneaking back in or simply walking through the front door. She is the constant mediator between the two rivaling brothers, and wants nothing but peace between them, although that seems like a difficult cause since Latoshi will stop at nothing to someday beat his brother. She cares deeply for them, never passing up a chance to tell her siblings how much she cares, and worries for their safety whenever they ensue a battle, whether it be with each other or someone else. She also serves as their cook, and strives to make things a little easier at home. Once things finally felt settled, Mitoshi summoned her old friend Bubbles to live with them. Bubbles was able to go as she pleased in the small, but spacious house since the only narrow passages were the doorways. During her time spent in the same house as her brothers, Mitoshi suddenly remembers that she never told her parents she had left home. She attempts to call them, and tell them of her story and how she found her brothers. When an unfamiliar person answers the phone, she decides to go with her brothers to where their parents lived, only to find out from neighbors that their parents were killed in a car accident a few months after she left home. The news devastated the triplets, including Latoshi, who felt as though he lost his parents all over again. They make a tearful reunion with their parents at their grave site, lamenting in the fact that they will never meet the parents they never knew. However, following the aura of sadness that hung over them, Serenity makes a surprise visit to the three in their time of grief. She comforts the three by explaining she can use her powers to allow them to contact their parents from beyond the grave. They agree to it, and the two brothers finally talk to their biological parents for the first time, who are happy to speak to them, and surprised to learn of their children's powers. The triplets end up feeling overjoyed, while their parents' spirits are able to rest in peace, relieved to know their children are all safe. Mitoshi has the ability to sometimes control the weather, and bring anything from a small shower to a violent thunderstorm. She can also summon hail in various sizes, and pick up winds to hurricane force. However, this ability, depending on its severity, takes a very large amount of Mitoshi's inner strength and concentration. She cannot perform it very often, as her energy almost completely drains, and she becomes exhausted afterward. In battle, it will usually be her last resort when nothing else works. She can also summon sources of water to envelop an enemy, and then solidify into a strong gel-like substance that will trap the enemy. This technique, like the storm technique, requires a lot of energy and focus, and she cannot do it many times before becoming completely drained of energy. Fireball
Fireball is a Typhlosion and Antoshi's only Pokémon and best friend. After being given to Antoshi as a Cyndaquil, the first thing the little one did was cough up a ball of fire that singed Antoshi's hair. Antoshi decided to name him "Fireball", and the two quickly became best friends and would constantly be by each other's side. When Fireball evolved into a Quilava, and Antoshi's dream of becoming a Pokémon Trainer finally came into view, they would constantly go out at all hours of the day (and night) to train, both wanting to acheive their full potential. Fireball is a Typhlosion and Antoshi's only Pokémon and best friend. Its name comes from the japanese name for Typhlosion. After being given to Antoshi as a Cyndaquil, the two quickly became best friends and would constantly be by each other's side. When Fireball evolved into a Quilava, and Antoshi's dream of becoming a Pokémon Trainer finally came into view, they would constantly go out at all hours of the day (and night) to train, both wanting to acheive their full potential. Fireball was the first one to find out about Antoshi's powers. After training one day, they were both ambushed by the crime organization known as Team Rocket. Fireball, as a Quilava, was kidnapped, and Team Rocket began to flee, believing there was nothing the young trainer could do to stop them. Antoshi unconciously tapped into his powers to save his best friend in danger, hurling Team Rocket into the air with his powers, and taking Fireball away from them, discarding them into the sky in true "blast off" fashion. After Fireball finally evolved into a Typhlosion, and Antoshi was finally old enough to start his quest, they set off, leaving their original home behind, and heading off towards Antoshi becoming a Trainer. With Fireball's help, he managed to obtain two Johto League badges before unexpectedly meeting his brother outside of Goldenrod City. The time Antoshi spent battling against his brother gave Fireball time to think. He knew their Badge quest wasn't going to continue, and so, after the three siblings banded together to defeat a monstrous being that stole their powers known as Aminal, Fireball let himself out of his Pokeball and told Antoshi he wished to go out on his own, to which his Trainer and friend agreed, with a heavy heart. Fireball spent some time thinking of what he wanted to do. It came to him that he aspired to be a leader, like Antoshi was, but he wasn't sure how. He traveled for some time, all the way from Antoshi's new home near Goldenrod City to Celadon City in Kanto. He walked outside the city one night, and saw a couple of Typhlosion attacked by a pack of wild Houndoom. Fireball quickly ran to their aid, fighting off the Houndoom, thanks to his experience in battling, as well as his fight against Lucent. The two Typhlosion were infinitely thankful, and began following Fireball around, wanting to become as strong as him. They knew humans had small cliques called "gangs," so they decided they would make their own "gang," called the "Typhlosionz," (because they believed it looked cool with a 'z' at the end) with Fireball finally reaching his dream of becoming a leader. However, despite being a gang, they were not very menacing, and most of the time, downright goofy. Fireball would never attack humans, so whenever a trainer attempted to battle and capture him, the three would usually end up making a hasty retreat, usually getting some kind of damage inflicted on them before they could get away. Despite Fireball's unwillingness to fight, his two cohorts remain endlessly loyal to him, and stay with him through good times and bad. Eventually, Fireball and his gang came across an old, abandoned lowrider that was pretty badly beaten up, but still able to run. Despite his small fingers, Fireball began to teach himself how to drive, through learning from his many mistakes, such as hitting light poles, street signs, old ladies, and once, a cop car which sent them into an hour-long car chase through 2 cities before they managed to get away. The car was also very unreliable, occasionally breaking down at any moment, leaving Fireball and his gang to also learn how to fix the car if anything happened to it. Because the Typhlosionz never had much cash, they often resorted to finding scraps of food to eat, or attempting to scare people from their food with varying results that either got them a free meal, or a heavy dose of pain from trainer's Pokémon. In their beat-up car, they began to visit Fireball's old friend, Antoshi. Though Antoshi was overjoyed to see his friend, Fireball's cohorts were more interested in what was in the refrigerator, which became a recurring element of their characters. Their presence, however, bring out the fiery temper of Antoshi's sister, Mitoshi, who does not appreciate them messing up her house and using the visit for a free meal. Mitoshi despises their freeloading ways, and never passes up a chance to verbally (and sometimes physically) berate them for their actions, as well as chase them out of the house. However, Mitoshi will sometimes feed them if they are genuinely nice and appreciative to her. Lucent
Lucent is an undead demonic Houndoom from Hell. He was a faithful companion to his original owner when he was alive centuries ago. When he witnessed his owner killed by another human over a petty argument, he began to regress into a state of hatefulness. As an act of anger and revenge, he sought out the human that took his master, and killed him. This act gave Lucent a taste for human blood, and his killing spree became a legend in many towns. It also led to humans being afraid of Houndooms, when many of them were not vicious. However, the mass panic Lucent created caused humans to make it a sport to kill as many Houndoom as they could find. Lucent then made a vow that for every Houndoom he found dead, he would kill 100 humans. This extreme war between humans and Pokémon severed the bond between many trainers and their companions for some time. However, Lucent eventually stalked the man that would eventually be his downfall. This human heard the story of the Evil Houndoom, and finally met the fabled beast himself. Lucent made the first attack on the man, but he was fought back with incredible strength. Lucent's sharp teeth cut his neck, mortally wounding him. But in the process, he grabbed the dog's own neck, and strangled him to death, only to meet his own demise shortly after. After which time, Lucent's soul, corrupted by darkness, left his mortal body, and was banished to Hell. There, he met a spirit of great power and darkness, known simply as "Lazarus." He kept Lucent as his pet and began ordering him to reap spirits of good individuals so that his dark powers could grow. This was eventually put a stop to when Mew, the God of Life, found Lucent's wandering soul and purified him, and kept him in a pink bubble for a century. Lazarus was angered that Mew took his companion, and attempted a counterattack which failed, leaving him severely beaten by Mew's power of good. However, he managed to destroy the bubble and reclaim Lucent's spirit once again. Mew was unable to intercept Lucent's soul before was brought back to Hell, where she had no power in realm travel, and eventually forgot about him many years later. Once Mew was no longer interested, the badly weakened Lazarus sent Lucent's re-corrupted soul to reap others for him. Lucent was unable to find any evil souls, because Mew had now graced many humans with her presence, and changed their hateful ways after meeting her. Lazarus was livid, but he was powerless to do anything. If he were to face Mew in battle again, he would surely be defeated and Mew would most likely purify his soul as well. Lazarus could not allow that to happen, so he waited for another 100 years before he sensed a human with the power of darkness in their heart. He needed this human to carry out his bidding for him, and his plan was to use this human to not only kill Mew, and take her soul for darkness, then defeat the guardians of the world, such as Rayquaza, and then take over the world for darkness. This human was named Latoshi, and Lazarus visited him one night when Mew was asleep on the other side of the world, coaxing the young boy into unleashing his dark powers which had been repressed inside him for so long. Lucent was then given to Latoshi as a bodyguard where he fought for, and alongside, Latoshi through several battles. However, once Latoshi began to increase his powers, he called upon Lucent less and less as he became more independent. Lucent then became more of a motivator for Latoshi, to help drive him toward his potential. Although he is never always around, Lucent still belongs to Latoshi and will never leave him. Bubbles
As a young Lapras, Bubbles originally spent her time doing nothing but following her parents through the open sea without a care in the world. She depended on their endless protection and shelter, and wanted to spend the rest of her life with them. However that all changed one day when her parents suddenly told her she must leave on her own. It was hard on them, but Bubbles was shattered, not wanting to leave. She was eventually pushed away by them, leaving her to fend for herself. She was terrified, the constant threat of danger lurking under the water kept her awake at nights. Eventually her fears came to a realization when a massive Tentacruel hunted her down, attempting to make her its next meal. She called for help, but there was nobody around, and continued to flee from the predator. Bubbles eventually found a shoreline where she beached herself, and escaped the Tentacruel. On land, she faced another threat. The beach she washed up on was a popular spot for Pokémon Trainers, who attempted to battle her and capture her for the sheer rarity of her breed. She managed to get away once again when the Trainers began battling each other for the chance to catch the Lapras. She made a quick escape back to the sea, where the Tentacruel was long gone. Exhausted and upset, she weakly swam for miles in the open sea, with no food to eat. She felt as though it was the end for her, when she came across a stream that ran into the ocean. Being fresh water, she followed it for as long as it would go without worry, as her only predators were in the sea. She found some fish to eat, and after several failed attempts, finally caught one, which lifted her spirits. She followed the stream all the way to a large lake which was flanked by houses where humans lived. She found a quiet spot away from the humans and finally got some rest. When she awoke, she found herself lonesome and upset again. She spent the entire day moping in her hiding spot along the waterline, thinking of her parents and how much she missed them. When night fell, she felt scared again, and began to call out in the darkness for her parents in a high-pitched call. She soon found a human girl walk up to her. She was frightened at first, believing that the human wanted to capture her, but the girl simply consoled her, and introduced herself as "Mitoshi." The young Lapras did not have a name, so Mitoshi decided to call her "Bubbles." The girl took her into her home, where she fed and took care of her, all while trying to hide her existance for her parents, who became ever curious as to what the girl was hiding. Eventually, Bubbles grew too large to move around the house, and, after being caught by Mitoshi's parents, she was forced outside, where Mitoshi continued to take care of her. Mitoshi and Bubbles had become best friends, always playing whenever Mitoshi took a swim in the lake. She watched Mitoshi learn of her powers when she was able to create larger and larger shapes in the water, and being able to hold the form longer each time she tried. She also realized the girl's incredible swimming speed when she beat her in a race one day. When Mitoshi realized the extent of her powers, she began to share it with Bubbles. She placed a hand on top of Bubbles' back, and felt a strange power sweep through her body. After which, she became as fast at swimming as Mitoshi, and had a new ability where she was able to change her form into liquid and travel through permeable surfaces before re-solidifying her form back to normal. Pretty soon they realized Bubbles could live indoors and out without having to pass through the narrow walkways in the house. After Mitoshi learned of her brother's existance, Bubbles could see by the look in her eyes that it was all she could think about. It didn't surprise her when Mitoshi came to her one night and told her she was going to search for them. Bubbles begged to come with her, but Mitoshi told her to stay behind. After she left, Bubbles became quite depressed, and was the one that told her parents that she had left. It made her feel even worse to see Mitoshi's parents become upset at the news, and decided to leave for a while. Being stronger and faster than before, she had no trouble exploring the open sea without trouble. Mitoshi's powers gave her a jolt in her senses, and could detect the presence of incoming creatures long before they could reach her, and used her super speed in the water to flee. When she returned to Mitoshi's house, she did not find anyone in the house. She felt empty, without anyone to spend time with, and waited in the house for her parents to return. It wasn't until a strange new human walked in and found her living there, to both of their surprise, that she realized Mitoshi's parents were not coming back. After leaving, she felt worse than she ever did since losing her parents. She wandered aimlessly for several weeks, until she felt a strange presence in her head. It was Mitoshi, communicating with her to come back to her. Bubbles eagerly used the sea to home in on Mitoshi's location. It only took her a few hours to find her best friend, and happily reunited with her, before being introduced to her brothers. Bubbles was happy that she was able to find them, and even happier to have a place to call 'home' again, feeling as though she was part of their family by being in the same house as them. Bubbles is infinitely grateful for Mitoshi for taking her into her home, and taking care of her. Around their house, Bubbles is Mitoshi's maid and servant, usually doing things for Mitoshi before she even asks. She is still very young, and can be immature at times, but is very friendly and loyal, and has a limited number of enemies, usually just Mitoshi's enemies are her enemies. If her brothers ask Mitoshi to do something, Bubbles will usually opt to do it for them instead. She simply wants to show how thankful she is for everything Mitoshi has done, but Mitoshi will usually do what her brothers ask of her, since she wants to take care of them as well as Bubbles. Bubbles feels as though she owes so much to Mitoshi, but Mitoshi brushes it off, and explains that she owes nothing. That does little more than make Bubbles feel more indebted to the girl. Poka & Chika
The "Pichu Twins" (not to be mistaken with the Pichu Brothers) are a duo of an inseperable brother and sister Pichu who are mostly wanderers. They first appear during Latoshi's Game with a niche for having impeccable timing when one or more of the main characters is in trouble. Their characteristics are mostly comical, and involve childish behavior most of the time. Poka is the half-witted brother, who loves nothing more than to play and enjoy life and learn of its mysteries. He has taken a liking to Antoshi because of his similar nature and acceptance of the Pichu's. His spontaneous nature often drives them to new and wonderous places, which they have never seen before. Chika is his more serious sister, who is usually embarassed to be seen with her brother, but cannot imagine living without him. She will sometimes strike her brother if he does something that gets on her nerves. She also enjoys Antoshi's company because of the attention he gives them, but she also has a bond with Latoshi through their somewhat similar serious natures. Together, the Pichu Twins do everything. Eat, sleep, play, adventure, etc. They can also be very dynamic in battle, and usually aid where the other needs help. Their electric power doesn't pack much power but they can do substantial damage to their enemy through their own quirky antics, such as hiding on their opponents feet and tripping them. However, their most notable ability skill lies within the power to drop in at the most opportune times. Serenity McGrith
Serenity also has several unique abilities. She is able to use spiritual telepathy on herself or others to communicate with the spirits of deceased individuals. However, not all spirits are willing to speak, and may inflict a hex on her or others if she attempts to contact evil spirits. She can also speak to wayward spirits like ghosts that have not yet passed on and coax them into the afterlife. She can also apply this to Ghost Pokémon, but usually will not unless they are malicious. She can also travel between the realm of the living and dead, and come in contact with actual spirits. This is almost exclusively limited to purgatory, as the entrance to Heaven and Hell are only for the deceased. Any attempt to "break in" to either Heaven or Hell would instantly rip her soul from her body with no chance of being able to reclaim it. Lastly, she can use the previous two skills to contact spirits, and with their consent, perform a resurrection on them to bring them back to the world of the living. However, bringing even one person back to life takes an intense amount of power on Serenity's part, and cannot perform it very often. To perform it, she needs to call upon her guardian spirit, who is directly tied to many Angels in Heaven, and sacrifice a substantial amount of her power to bring life back into a deceased individual. The technique can fail, if the spirit is not willing to come back to life, or if Serenity does not have enough power. Despite failing, once Serenity's strength returns, she can attempt to resurrect the same individual again. Collin McGrith
Like his sister, Collin can travel between realms to seek out spirits, as he prefers to meet them face to "face" rather than speak to them through telepathy. He can also resurrect individuals, but for completely different reasons. He can resurrect a body without a spirit to create a zombie of darkness to do his bidding, which does not take nearly as much energy as pulling a spirit back into a body, or he can resurrect a spirit without a body to absorb into his own to gain added power. Conversely, Serenity can use her power to extract the spirit from his body and return it to the afterlife as well as put a zombie to rest. Once a spirit is removed from Collin's body, any power he gained from it is immediately lost. Like Serenity, he also has a guardian spirit from Hell watching over him, who is a familiar spirit to Latoshi. Lazarus
When he was alive, Lazarus used to be named Rex Young, a man in his mid-20's living in the 1400's. To others, he protrayed himself as a cocky young man who tried to impress women with his feats of strength. At 6'4'' and 250 pounds, he would lift large tree limbs and stationary cannons for sport. As for the women he swooned, he had no worries if they were already in a relationship, as long as he could sleep with them. He drew the ire of nearly all the men that ever met him, and would frequently be engaged in fights with any number of men for the dignity of their women. However, no matter the number of challengers, Rex always found himself victorious because of his immense strength. There was never a challenger that could best him in a fight, particularly at a time just before guns were invented. Rex's strength baffled the men he faced and attracted the women he impressed. The secret of his strength lie within his younger brother, Jeff, who was an alchemy specialist. Jeff wanted to use his skills to further the well-being of mankind, and created a strange potion that gave his brother the strength and agility that impressed so many. With each dose he took, he became stronger and bulkier, able to lift heavier objects and perform more incredible feats of speed and agility, such as dodging an incoming cannonball from just a few yard away. And while Jeff thought his brother was going to start sharing the news of their alchemic success with the people, Rex simply wanted more doses for his own personal gain. Jeff soon realized his brother was not interested in the good of mankind, he only cared about himself. Jeff told his brother he was going to stop making the potion if Rex didn't stop using it for himself. Rex became infuriated and shouted at his brother to do it, but Jeff would not budge. In a fit of rage, Jeff grabbed his brother by the neck and gave him one last chance to create the potion for him, which he refused, until he choked the life out of him. Once his anger died down, Rex realized he made a huge mistake, and tried to resuscitate his brother to no avail. Rex became livid, storming out of his house in the dead of night while screaming in rage. People came out of their houses to see what was happening. Rex's eyes were blood red, and became the only color he could see. People came up to him to try and restrain him, but with his immense strength, he attacked and killed anyone that came near him. Other people watched the bloodbath in terror, and began to run for their lives, while Rex, now like a wild animal, chased them all and left no survivors. Covered in blood, Rex kept running with his incredible speed, growling and beathing wildly, his teeth clenched, until he found another town, and more people to take his anger out on. With several dozen victims to his name, Rex attracted the attention of a traveling army. They drew their swords, spears and bows and attacked him at once. Mortally wounded, he managed to claim a few soldiers lives before finally succumbing to death. In the afterlife, Jeff's spirit was taken to Heaven, while Rex was sent to Hell for his sins. There, in hell, his spirit wandered for four days before he suddenly met with Satan, who was impressed by the evil he committed while alive. Satan was tired of there being so many good souls, angels and envoys from Heaven. He propositioned Rex with being reincarnated as an evil spirit in the world of the living, and as an envoy of Hell. Rex happily agreed to this, and was imbued with some of Satan's endless power. He gained several skills involving darkness, as well as being able to travel between the mortal world and Hell. Satan also renamed him as "Lazarus", his name becoming a pun on the story of a man named Lazarus being resurrected after being dead for 4 days. In the mortal world, Lazarus can claim the spirits of recently-deceased individuals and pull them into his own to gain power, no matter if the spirits are good or bad. However, each time he takes a good spirit that was scheduled to enter Heaven, he attracts the attention of angels who begin to seek him out and attempt to purify him. After a close encounter with a holy envoy from Heaven, Lazarus retreated back to Hell for several years before re-emerging. The beings in Heaven were on high alert for any "missing" spirits that did not report to Heaven when it was their time. Lazarus decided he would only reap the evil and wayward spirits, who would not be missed. A couple centuries later, Lazarus found the evil spirit of Lucent after he was cast down to Hell. Lazarus found much evil and hatred inside the Houndoom's spirit, and decided to claim Lucent as his "pet." After centuries of not capturing any good spirits, Lazarus used Lucent to reap good spirits, which gave him more power than evil ones, for his own personal quest for power. Some years later, Mew, as an envoy from Heaven, caught Lucent trying to capture an innocent spirit, and in turn, captured Lucent's spirit herself. She imbued him with some of her good spirit, driving most of the hatred out of him, and then imprisoned him for his sins in a pink bubble for a century. Lazarus was infuriated by Mew's act. It was much too dangerous for him to try and reap good souls, as the same fate may happen to him. He continued quietly gaining evil spirits, which were becoming a rarity as Mew began to grace humans with her presence, and left their spirits pure until death. Mew's actions gave her a holy "promotion" to the God of Life, where she personally guided souls, good and bad, to Heaven for purity, and to keep them out of Lazarus' grasp. When Lazarus felt he was as strong as possible, he stormed into the mortal world, and engaged Mew in battle. The fight lasted for days, with Mew eventually triumphing over Lazarus. During the battle, however, Lazarus disrupted the bubble beside her containing Lucent, and quickly casted him back to Hell where his spirit was happily re-corrupted by evil. Lazarus was nearly about to be purified by Mew when he made a hasty retreat back to Hell and out of her grasp. Centuries past, and Lazarus was only able to collect a small handful of evil spirits to replenish some of his energy. He was far too weak, and waited with patience for a mortal being with enough evil inside them for Lazarus to use, just like he used Lucent. Eventually, he detected Latoshi's tormented soul, and realized the boy had been born with much dark energy that he'd been keeping suppressed inside. Lazarus visited the boy when Mew was nowhere near, and coaxed him into releasing his intense powers of darkness, which Latoshi did, with devastating results. Lazarus retreated back to Hell, extremely pleased with the boy, and decided to keep watch over him. Lazarus began to use his most unique skill: Parasitism. He took control of Latoshi's body like a parasite, and influenced him to kill. He left the boy's body while leaving part of his spirit within him, so that he could remain safe in Hell. With Lazarus' influence inside him, the boy begin to explore and master his powers, and battle with his older brother, Antoshi. Lazarus sent Lucent to the mortal world to quickly collect the spirits of the individuals Latoshi killed. With Latoshi's killing spree, Lazarus was quickly becoming more powerful than he ever had been. However, Latoshi began to live with his siblings, who he had previously swore death upon. Latoshi began to bond with them, and become a calmer, more serene individual over time. Lazarus felt his influence over the boy steadily fading away, and began to parasite inside his body to try and reclaim control. But Latoshi was maturing quickly, and was more aware of Lazarus' intentions, which he was no longer interested in. Lazarus had a harder and harder time trying to control the boy as his spirit became more confident and independent. Lazarus was becoming nervous, but realized that, with more powerful individuals who swore their allegiance to darkness, Mew was having a harder time purifying spirits. It posed a great opportunity for Lazarus to continue reaping souls for himself, as well as broaden his spectrum of hosts to do his bidding. Fanfiction Work
