In cell biology, a unipotent cell is one that has the capacity to develop/differentiate into only one type of tissue/cell type.[1] The most common of these in humans are skin cells. This cell has a unique property: self-renewal. This property distinguishes it from most other terminally differentiated non-stem cells.
