Tj is a digraph of the Latin Alphabet. It is found Norwegian in words like, "tjære". It is pronounced as the voiceless postalveolar affricate[tʃ]. In closely related Swedish, it is pronounced ɕ, as in "tjära" ['ɕæːɾa]. It is, or was, also used to represent [tʃ] in many Dutch-based orthographies in Indonesia and Surinam.
