The Doors: Vinyl Box Set
(2008)

The Doors: Vinyl Box Set is the seventh box set for the rock band The Doors. It is a 7-Record set of the original 6 Doors albums, digitally remastered in stereo with a mono version of the debut album. Artwork, packaging, and inner sleeves are replicas of the originals from 1967-1971. The box set was originally planned to be released in October 2007, but was delayed due to a problem with the vinyl, as well as other problems in the production of the box set. The delay ran until February 2008. Reasons for the delay included: faulty test pressings, LA Woman artwork was inferior, and bad compounds in the vinyl that was used first which caused a search for a new source of virgin vinyl. [1]

The box set is now available on Rhino Records. The box set will be available for a short time in a limited edition, serial numbered run of 12,500.
