Template documentation
This template will add tagged articles to Category:Articles to be merged. This template is the same as {{Mergefrom}} except that it accepts from 1–20 articles to be merged.
Example usage
This: {{Mergefrom-multiple|X1|X2|X3|X4}}
produces this:
The template will take the named parameter:
discuss= The page name where the common discussion of the proposal should occur
- This should be given with no square brackets, but as the content of what would be within enclosed within such brackets, just as in the main three merge templates discussed below in more detail.
{{Mergefrom-multiple}} will add tagged pages to Category:Articles to be merged. If the date parameter is specified, pages are added to a subcategory of Category:Merge by month.
This template is intended to be placed on articles rather than talk pages.
Usage
- First parameter: name of page to be merged to (without square brackets)
- Second parameter: location of merge discussion (without square brackets)
- date parameter (optional): date, in "October 2008" format
To keep discussion of merges to one place, ensure the same location is specified on each page.
Examples
- {{merge}}
{{Merge | Article 1 | Talk:Article 1#Merge proposal |date=October 2008 }}
{{Merge | Article 2 | Talk:Article 1#Merge proposal |date=October 2008 }}
- {{mergefrom}} and {{mergeto}}
{{Mergefrom | Article 2 | Talk:Article 1#Merge proposal |date=October 2008 }}
{{Mergeto | Article 1 | Talk:Article 1#Merge proposal |date=October 2008 }}
