Tinana
Great Māori migration waka

In Māori tradition, Tinana (also known as Te Māmaru) was one of the great ocean-going, voyaging canoes that was used in the migrations that settled New Zealand. The captain of Tinana was Tūmoana who's son was Kahutianui-o-te-rangi. The Ngāti Kahu iwi take their name from Kahutianui-o-te-rangi [1].
