According to Taiyabi Mustaaali Ismaili Muslims, Taiyab abi al-Qasim (or Tayyib, Arabic طيب) was the 21st and last Fatimid Imam (or hereditary leader of the Muslim community in the direct line of Ali ibn Abi Talib). He was the son of the 20th Fatimid Imam, Mansur al-Amir Bi-Ahkamillah (the ruler of Egypt from 1101-1130). According to Taiyabi Mustaali tradition, before Imam Taiyab went into seclusion, his father the 20th Imam al-Amir had instructed Queen al-Hurra al-Maleka in Yemen to anoint a vicegerent after the seclusion, the Da'i al-Mutlaq, who as the Imam's vicegerent has full authority to govern the community in all matters both spiritual and temporal.

The Hafizi Mustaali Ismailis were those who continued to accept the legitimacy of the Fatimid rulers of Egypt between 1130-1169, not Taiyab abi al-Qasim.
