Strandhill (Irish: An Leathros) is a seaside resort village in County Sligo, Ireland1.
LocationStrandhill is situated at the western base of Knocknarea on the 'Cúil Irra' peninsula, and is Atlantic facing. The area is a well known surfing destination and is amongst Ireland's premiere surfing resorts due to its strong beach break. AmenitiesAmenities at Strandhill includes an 18 hole golf course, caravan park, pubs, restaurants and a Seaweed bath house. It is also the site of Sligo Airport. The resort is popular with residents of Sligo which is located approximately 7km (4 miles) to the east.
