Sonagazi (Bengali: সোনাগাজি) is an Upazila of Feni District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
GeographySonagazi is located at . It has 37184 units of house hold and total area 235.07 km². It is situated in the southern part of the district, the only Upazila to have a coastline with the Bay of Bengal. Sonagazi is noted for its natural beauty, a sluice gate, known as "Muhuri Project", built in the late 1970s to control water flow of the Feni river is a popular tourist destination as well. Noted literary figure Shahidullah Kaisar and film maker Zahir Raihan hailed from Sonagazi. DemographicsAs of 1991 Bangladesh census[1], Sonagazi has a population of 215122.
