The Social Democratic Party (Partido Social Democrático) was a conservative political party in Brazil between 1945 and 1965. Founded as a center-right party by Getúlio Dornelles Vargas together with the left-leaning Brazilian Labour Party, it elected Juscelino Kubitschek de Oliveira as President in 1955. It was the most important Brazilian political party during the 1945-1964 democratic regime, until it was banned by the military government in 1965.

(A second party by this name existed after the end of the dictatorship, trying to capitalize on Kubitschek's legacy, but it never attained significant success, until it merged into the PTB.)
