Simoedosaurus is an extinct genus of diapsid reptile.
The crocodile-like Simoedosaurus, related to the better-known Champsosaurus, was a semi-aquatic animal that probably hunted like crocodiles, plucking drinking animals from the shore. It had a long skull with powerful jaws lined with cone-shaped teeth. The teeth also had a small crest at the back and the front, unlike those of a crocodile. Simoedosaurus also had small teeth in the roof of the mouth.
