Segerstrom Fundamental High School is a public high school in Santa Ana, California, and is part of the Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD). The land the school was built on was donated by the Segerstrom family, and the school was named after them. The school opened in 2005. Segerstrom High School had its 2008 Inaugural Class on June 17, 2008.
Students from grades 9 to 12 have been enrolled as of the 2007-2008 school year.
In order to get in, students must live within the boundaries provided by the school. Other methods include a lottery drawing for incoming freshmen. Segerstrom implements the A-G requirements necessary to graduate high school.
The Buildings
The structure of the school is divided into five buildings; each representing a subject. The "A" building contains the main office, library, gym, and the English department. The "B" building contains the theatre and drama department. The "C" building is labeled "humanities" and is used for subjects such as foreign language, history, and misc. Building "D" is the science building and "E" is the mathematics department.
