Sedgefield Racecourse is a thoroughbred horse racing venue located in Sedgefield, Stockton-on-Tees, in County Durham, England. During summer, there is a popular car boot sale held in the carpark.1
The course also hosts 19 National Hunt Racing fixtures over 11 months of the year.
During the year to 2008, the course had the highest animal casualty rate in the country, with 11 deaths over 17 days of racing. 2
