Saturday Night With Miriam is a television chat show which was first broadcast in Ireland on RTÉ One in the summer of 2005. Hosted by Miriam O'Callaghan the show ran for six weeks as a summer filler. The pre-recorded show was broadcast on Saturday nights after the main evening news, lasting approximately 60 minutes. Each week three guests were interviewed by O'Callaghan. Guests included Charlie McCreevy, Paul Brady, D. J. Carey and Ray D'Arcy. The show proved to be a surprise hitcitation needed for RTÉ. O'Callaghan, who is a current affairs broadcaster, was praisedcitation needed for her presenting skills and was even namedcitation needed as a possible future presenter of The Late Late Show, RTÉ's flagship chat show. The series was also run in summer 2006 and a third series ran in 2007. The third series saw the show go live for the first time. The third series achieved an audience share of over 40% which was unprecedented during the summer period.citation needed The show is very well know for its wide variety of guests, which often include musicians, who usually perform on the show. The show returned for a fourth series in June 2008 and continued until late July 2008.
