Career
Motoyama was born in Tokyo.
He gathered an impressive resumé of results in his native country, winning the Formula Nippon championship in 1998, 2001, 2003, and 2005. He also competes in the Japan GT Championship and won that series title co-driving with British driver Richard Lyons in 2004.
