Santa Eulària des Riu (Spanish: Santa Eulalia del Rio) is a municipality on the eastern coast of Ibiza. The only river on the island flows through the town of Santa Eulària. The town was the depicted during the Spanish Civil War in The Life and Death of a Spanish Town (1937) by Elliot Paul. During the summer, the weekly Hippie Market on Punta Arabí attracts tourists from throughout the island as does San Carles's Las Dalias hippie market on Saturday (all day) and Monday evenings throughout the year. As of 2006, the town, the third most populous on the island is 13,737. The total number of inhabitants in the municipality is 27,152.
