The Santa Clara River Valley, also known as the Heritage Valley, is a rural region of eastern Ventura County, California and northwest Los Angeles County, California that is named for the Santa Clara River which winds through the valley before emptying into the Pacific Ocean between the cities of Oxnard and Ventura. It is primarily an agricultural region, but is also home to a collection of small towns including Fillmore and Santa Paula.

Geography

The valley is bordered by Santa Susana Mountains to the south, and Los Padres National Forest and Sespe Condor Sanctuary to the north. The valley stretches to Los Angeles County to the east, bordering with northern Santa Clarita Valley at the junction of Interstate 5 and State Route 126. The Oxnard Plain is to the southwest. Santa Clara River begins above the Santa Clarita Valley, runs through the Santa Clara River Valley and to the Oxnard Plain where it empties into the Pacific Ocean.
