Ryousei Akazawa (赤沢 亮正, Ryousei Akazawa^? born December 18, 1960) is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party, a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet (national legislature). A native of Bunkyo, Tokyo and graduate of the University of Tokyo, he joined the Ministry of Transport in 1984 and attended Cornell University in the United States while in the ministry. He was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time in 2005.
