Romainmôtier-Envy

Romainmôtier-Envy is a municipality in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland, located in the district of Orbe.

The church in Romainmôtier.

The village lies on the Nozon river and has about 450 inhabitants. The town has a famous Romanesque church. The monastery of Romainmôtier (Romanum monasterium) was founded by Romanus of Condat, after whom it was named.^[1]

The municipality was created in 1970 by a merger of Romainmôtier and Envy.
