Power and Interest News Report (PINR) is a global organization that provides analyses of conflicts and other international developments. It is independently funded and seeks to provide insight into various conflicts, regions, and points of interest around the globe. Their analysis is grounded in the realist conception of international politics, leaving moral judgment to the reader.
PINR offers a free newsletter covering recent geopolitical events, as well as custom research reports and consulting services. The organization's reports have been cited in various media outlets including Reuters, the Los Angeles Times, and The Guardian. The organization became especially known due to its extensive coverage of the conflict in Somalia, producing 33 in-depth reports on the country since 2006.
