Plasnica (Macedonian: Пласница, Turkish: Plasnitsa) is a municipality in western Republic of Macedonia. Plasnica is also the name of the village where the municipal seat is found. Plasnica municipality is part of Southwestern statistical region.
Geography
The municipality borders Makedonski Brod municipality in the north-east, Kruševo municipality in the south-east, Drugovo municipality in the south, and Vraneštica municipality in the north-west.
Demographics
According to the last National census from 2002 this municipality has 4,545 inhabitants. [1]
Ethnic groups in the municipality include:
- Turks = 4,491
- Macedonians = 34
- Albanians = 20
