Glen was employed as a hitman and in 2004 had been hired to murder Vincent Smart, but instead he murdered Mr Smart's friend Robert Bogle (aged 25). The murder took place in Farcet, Cambridgeshire, on 8 June2004. [2]
After his trial, it was revealed that Glen had a previous conviction for murder. He was sentenced to life imprisonment and on 23 February2008The Times revealed that he was one of around 50 prisoners who had been issued with whole life tariffs and were unlikely ever to be released.
