Image:Ltspkr.pngOldenzaal is a municipality and a town in the eastern of the Netherlands, near to the border with Germany.

It received city rights in 1249. Oldenzaal is the birth place of the Dutch football pro Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink. It also is on the railway from Zutphen to Oldenzaal.

Oldenzaal was also part of the Hanseatic League, also known as the Hansa, as a subsidiary city of fellow Hanseatic city Deventer.
