Oe is a digraph found in many languages. In English, oe represents the /oʊ/ sound as in hoe and sometimes the /u/ sound as in shoe. Dutch oe sounds like /u/, as in doen. In French it stands for the vowels /ø/ and /œ/, and in Standard Cantonese Pinyin it represents the vowel [ɵ] ~ [œː].
