Oakville is a small community located in Lawrence County, Alabama. [1] The community is known for two parks located in the area. The first is dedicated to the life of Jesse Owens, who was born in the community[2]. The other park is dedicated to large Indian Mounds left in the area by the prehistoric Copena Indians. [3].
