OFC Beach Soccer Championship

In 2006 the Oceania Football Confederation hosted its first international Beach Soccer tournament. Tahiti1 island of Moorea was choosed to host the event in September 2006, with a purpose-built facility set.
Four teams - Cook Islands, New Zealand, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu - were selected to compete with the winner set to travel to Brazil in December.
Tahiti must have the ability to cover the event on television in accordance with the BSWW specifications for ESPN and Eurosport.
In 2008 the Solomon Islands were nominated as the best team in Oceania for the world cup. Therefore no qualifiers were held.
