Opened in 1990, the complex can hold around 12,000 people and hosts the Wright State University Raiders basketball and hockey team, the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL, and other events. Amusement Business magazine judged it one of the best entertainment complexes because of its high capacity facility holdings and high gross ticket sales.
Hosted the history making “Road to the Convention Rally” on August 29, 2008, at which time Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska, was announced as presumptive Republican presidential candidate John McCain's vice-presidential candidate, or running mate.
