Image:Ltspkr.pngNunspeet is a municipality and town in the central Netherlands. It has been an agricultural site since prehistoric times. It contains a number of villages, like Oosteinde, Westeinde, Hulshorst, Elspeet, Vierhouten and Hoophuizen. Hoophuizen was often the victim of flooding, and completely vanished in 1916, when a big flood destroyed the last remaining farms. Nunspeet has a vivid historical foundation, called Nuwenspete 1. In 1973 Nunspeet became its own separate municipality after having been part of Ermelo before.
