The 14th annual Nuestra Belleza Mexico pageant was held on September 20, 2008 in Monterrey, Nuevo León. Thirty-three contestants competed for the national title, which was won by Karla Carrillo of Jalisco, who is expected to compete in Miss Universe 2009. Carrillo was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza Mexico titleholder Elisa Nájera of Guanajuato. Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2008 was hosted by former Miss Mexico Universe Jacqueline Bracamontes and actor Alfredo Adame, and was broadcast live on Televisa. Among the judges were the reigning Miss International, Priscila Perales; Blanca Soto, Miss Mexico World 1997; Carolina Morán, Miss Mexico World 2007; and Gabriel Soto, former Mister Mexico and actor.
