OverviewNova publishes in a wide area of academic research, including science and social sciences. Currently, they publish 76 book series, and 84 scientific journals. The company focuses on such fields as science, political science, European and Asian studies, and security studies.1 BooksScientists from top academic institutions such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Berkeley, and UCSD have published their work through this publisher, and Nova's publications are held by major libraries. As of 2008, Nova has published 4,187 titles. Of these, 5% are present at more than 200 academic libraries around the world each; 65% are held by fewer than 50 academic libraries.21 Major figures in the field of world systems theory and in studies of globalization and of the European Union have contributed articles to Nova Science volumes, including Samir Amin, Andre Gunder Frank, and Immanuel Wallerstein. JournalsAs of 2008, Nova Science Publisher puts out 163 serial publications, of which 10% are available at 50 or more academic research libraries around the world.2 As of the 2007 version, Journal Citation Reports does not include any of their journals in either the Science or Social Science editions.3 References
