Nové Město nad Metují (IPA: [ˈnovɛ: ˈmɲɛsto ˈnadmɛtʊji:]; German: Neustadt an der Mettau) is a town in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It had 10049 inhabitants in 1 January 2007. Metuje flows through the town. Nové Město nad Metují was founded by Jan Černčický z Kácova in 1501.
