The Northern Tamandua (Tamandua mexicana ) is a species of tamandua anteater in the Myrmecophagidae family. It is found in Belize , Colombia , Costa Rica , Ecuador , El Salvador , Guatemala , Honduras , Mexico , Nicaragua , Panama , Peru , and Venezuela . Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests , subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical mangrove forests, subtropical or tropical moist montanes , and moist savanna . 2
