The Northern Districts Knights are one of six New Zealand first class cricket teams that make up New Zealand Cricket.

It is based in the northern half of the North Island of New Zealand (excluding Auckland). It competes in the State Championship first class competition and the State Shield domestic one day competition.

Counties Manukau Clubs

The Counties-Manukau Cricket Assoication runs 6 grades of Senior cricket in the region; Premiers, Senior A, Senior B, Reserve One, Reserve Two and a Twenty/20 Grade.

In the 2007/08 season, the following clubs competed in the above grades:

Premiers - Karaka, Manukau (2-day champions), Papakura, Pukekohe-Metro (1-day champions), Waiuku and Weymouth.

Senior A - Karaka (2-day champions), Manukau, Mauku, Papakura (1-day champions), Pukekohe-Metro and United.

Senior B - Glenbrook-Maramarua, Karaka, Tuakau, Waiuku and Weymouth

Reserve One - Manukau, Mauku, Papakura Pistons, Papakura Rovers (champions), Pohutukawa Coast, Pukekohe-Metro, United and Weymouth.

Reserve Two - Karaka, Karaka Colts, Mauku, Pukekohe, Tuakau, United, Waiuku and Weymouth.

Twenty/20 - Karaka, Papakura, Pohutukawa Coast, Pukekohe Metro, Waiuku and Weymouth.

As well as the Seniors, CMCA oversees a Schools and a Juniors section which involves the above clubs and others.
