North Durham is a county constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election.
BoundariesThe constituency is located in the north of County Durham, which is in the North East England region of the United Kingdom. It includes the whole of the Chester-le-Street district and the eastern part of Derwentside district. The main population centres in the constituency are Chester-le-Street, Stanley and Sacriston. The constituency includes the North of England Open Air Museum at Beamish. Boundary reviewFollowing their review of parliamentary representation in County Durham, the Boundary Commission for England has made only minor changes to the North Durham constituency.
