Noor (Urdu: نور), (born July 3, 1982) is a Pakistani actress, was originally a model and appeared in a dozen television advertisements and commercials including the famous Dalda, Sultan and notably BioAmla hair oil commercials which made her a much recognised face in the fashion and entertainment world in Pakistan.

Noor left the movie industry prematurely due to domestic issues. However, she has returned to TV modeling and currently co-hosts a family show on ARY called Sangam, with Muzna Ibrahim. She had many affairs and scandals within and outside the film industry. She had a long and well-publicized battle with her parents concerning a marriage issue. She is now married to an Indian Muslim, who runs an Event and Production Company and resides in Dubai.


She is now called Sonia Meghnani in her circle of socialites. An amazing dancer who could bend at unimaginable angles and had the potential to set the screen ablaze with her charisma, Noor could not stay away from showbusiness for long. She is currently acting in a comedy series with working title "Colors". It has been written by Jawad Daud, produced by Syed Afzal Ali, and directed by Fahim Burney. She has been pitted against the best talents in the form of Vikas Bhalla and Shoma Anand from India and Iffat Umer from Pakistan. Moreover, she is also doing a drama serial and there are talks of her doing a movie directed by Shaan: the man who was her first boyfriend Mujhe Chand Chahiye in the late nineties and with whom she had a torrid affair before Shan opted for his present wife Amna Banday.

The actress has also made appearances in Pakistani music videos, such as Jawad Ahmed's Dholna.

In April 2008, Noor moved back to Pakistan and settled in Lahore.

Filmography

Despite her successes in Lollywood, Noor is somewhat controversial at home and abroad. She is alleged to have entertained numerous rich celebrities, notably powerful personalities from UAE and other Gulf states. It includes some very resourceful politicians in Pakistan.

In 1999, a notorious Lahore pimp was attacked by unknown persons after Noor had violated a committment with a party and had flown to Dubai on a short notice.
