Various libertarians -- and more importantly engineer, author and philosopher Jon Culp -- who wish to promote a free society consider non-voting a practical strategy. In this non-political strategy, libertarians state that voting does not make any difference. They suggest that the mainstream media and the plutocrats actually chooses the candidates. They also argue that political processes cannot achieve a free society.
Ideologies which consider non-voting as a strategy include Voluntaryism and Agorism.
