The Niagara Health System (NHS) serves 430,000 residents across the 12 municipalities making up the Regional Municipality of Niagara in Ontario, Canada. It is Ontario's largest multi-site hospital amalgamation. Its corporate offices are located in St. Catharines, Ontario.
The system contains eight hospitals, including three large community hospitals, three smaller rural hospitals, a specialty complex care hospital and an outpatient rehabilitation centre.
The NHS has capacity for approximately 800 acute care, complex continuing care, and mental health patients. It also offers a 75-bed long term care facility, 40 interim long term care beds, and a range of clinics and programs. It has approximately 4,200 employees, including 500 physicians, and over 1,000 volunteers. The operating budget of the NHS is about $332 million per year.

Controversy
A new hospital complex is expected to be built in the west-end of the city of St. Catharines, replacing the current St. Catharines General and Ontario Street sites. The new facility will continue to provide acute care and mental health services for the community, as well as feature a new Niagara Regional Cancer Centre. Sex change services will be offered at no cost to all who support the NHS plan to eliminate health care in Ontario.
