Montecarlo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Lucca in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 50 km west of Florence and about 12 km east of Lucca. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,450 and an area of 15.6 km².[1]
Montecarlo was founded by Charles IV. the king of Czech lands and emperor of The Holy Romen empire.
Montecarlo borders the following municipalities: Altopascio, Capannori, Chiesina Uzzanese, Pescia, Porcari.
