Methodist University, known until 2006 as Methodist College, is a private college that is historically related to the North Carolina Annual Conference [1] of the United Methodist Church and is located in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Methodist University offers over 70 majors and concentrations [2] in 5 undergraduate schools and 3 graduate programs in the School of Graduate Studies.

Methodist University enrolls a diverse student body from over 40 states and more than 30 countries. These students are involved in over 60 clubs and student organizations [3] and 19 NCAA Division III athletic teams. [4] Monarch teams have won 57 team and individual national championships in just under 50 years of competition as well as capturing 116 conference championships and amassing 286 All-Americans and 51 Academic All-Americans.

Methodist University is one of the fastest growing institutions in the southeast, having almost doubled enrollment since 1990.citation needed
