Máire Hoctor (born 20 January 1963) is an Irish Fianna Fáil politician. She is a Teachta Dála (TD) for the constituency of Tipperary North. She is the Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children, the Department of Social and Family Affairs and the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government (with special responsibility for Services for Older People).

Hoctor was first elected to Dáil Éireann in the 2002 general election for Tipperary North. She was re-elected at the 2007 general election. She was educated at St. Mary's Secondary School, Nenagh and St Patrick's College, Maynooth (B.A. Th., H DipEd.). Before her election she worked as a secondary school teacher.

She is a member of the following:

  • Government Convener of Joint Oireachtas Committee on Justice, Equality, Defence and Women's Rights.
  • Member of Joint Oireachtas Committee on Education & Science.
