This is a list of rivers in India. Rivers that flow into the sea are sorted geographically, along the coast starting from the Bay of Bengal in the east, moving along the Indian coast southward till Kanyakumari, and moving northward along the Arabian Sea. Rivers that flow into other rivers are sorted by the proximity of their points of union to the sea: the lower in the list, the more upstream.
Mondavi River basically known as Mhadai in western ghat of Goa and Karnataka. It has three main source of origine. 1. Degao 2. Nanevadichi Nhai and 3. Gavali. second two gets dry in summer season. so the main origine which is in the form of spring during Summer season is at Bavtyacho Dongor ( Name of the Mountain)close to the Degao village, Khanapur Taluka, Dist. Belgum of Karnataka State.
All these stream meets down at the kabnali village where this majore stream known by the name MHADAI. This river Mhadai flow toward east at the beginning. then to North and moving to the west dorection towards Goa.
Mhadai River enters Goa in between Krisnapur ( Karnataka) and Kadval ( Goa) village.There are number of tributaries on the way which meets the river Mhadai like Nersa Nala, Chapoli and Kapoli nala, Bail Nala, Valo Panshiro ( Karnataka) Suko Panshiro, Harparo, Nanodyachi Nhai ( Nhai means River), Vellsachi Nhai, Valpoichi Nhai, Ghadghadyachi Nhai, Valvanti, Divchalchi Nhai, Assnodchi Nhai, Khandeparchi Nhai, Mhapsechi Nhai etc. ( Goa)
Mhadai or Mandovi is the longest River of Goa having 105 km. length.
