Joseph Sabine (c. 1661-24 October 1739) was a British general and Member of Parliament. Appointed a Captain in Ingoldsby's Regiment of Foot (later the Royal Welch Fusiliers) in 1689, he was breveted Colonel in 1703, serving in the Netherlands during the War of Spanish Succession. Having been promoted to Lieutenant-General, he was appointed Governor of Berwick and of Holy Island, and was made Colonel of the Royal Welch Fusiliers. He entered Parliament in 1727 as member for Berwick-upon-Tweed, representing that constituency until 1734. He was promoted to General in 1730, and was subsequently appointed Governor of Gibraltar; he died there in 1739.
