The Illinois Department of Agriculture is an executive agency of the U.S. state of Illinois. It supervises the Illinois State Fair, regulates various facets of the agriculture industries of Illinois, oversees Illinois soil and water conservation, and supervises the fair weighting and measuring of various commodity products that are sold to the general public in Illinois, including gasoline.[1]

Agriculture industries supervised by the Department of Agriculture in Illinois include the production of livestock, the growing of commodity crops such as corn and soybeans, and the regulation of grain elevators.
