A gilder is a craftsman who works with gold and silver to artistically cover an object as in the gold leaf process.

It was rare for a gilder who worked with mercury to embelish metal products to live over 40 years of age.

Gilder is a character in the video game Skies of Arcadia; see Skies of Arcadia characters.

Gilder is also a program by MDY designed to assist players in World of Warcraft in collecting in game valuables. Blizzard Entertainment is currently involved in a lawsuit against MDY, claiming MDY has violated World of Warcraft 's license agreement, and therefor the copy in system memory is no longer licensed and is in violation of United States copyright laws.
